At Sheen LTSC we are always keen to make use of our club and facilities to help support the local community. Sport is a great way to engage with people so we are teaming up with the charity I Play 30 to help others in our community have the opportunity to get on court. I Play 30 arrange free tennis activity sessions designed for adults and children with learning, sensory and physical disabilities and for those experiencing mental ill health. I Play 30 is part of the Bright Ideas for Tennis charity, which was co-founded and run by ex-Davis Cup player, Danny Sapsford.?

From April we will be welcoming pupils from Strathmore School, a local Special Educational Needs school, to the club for tennis lessons every Monday afternoon, 1.45-2.45pm. This initiative is being organised and run by me and the TennisLIFE coaches who will be working for free and the club will donate court time to ensure each child has the chance to play tennis. ?

We would love to have members help with these sessions so if you can spare some time please let us know. You don't need to commit to helping every week; the more volunteers for this the better! Don't worry if you haven't done this before - the charity will come to the club to provide a training session for those who wish to help out, initially on 14th February 1-4pm.?
